CRM Software Reviews
In the business world there are a number of unique buzz words that many people do not understand. One such buzz word is CRM. I will explain in detail what this word is all about and provide CRM software reviews in the following article and on this webite.
Definition of CRM
C.R.M. is an acronym for Contact Relationship Management. It is a powerful information system primarily focusing on the management of a company’s customer base. There are a number of differenct modules or components that make an effective CRM platform. They are as follows.
Collaborative or Operational CRM Process
When a new customer is created in the system, any interaction with that customer is recorded to the customer?s file. An example would be a problem that a customer has that could not be resolved immediately. For instance, when a customer calls into a call center and has a problem that may require a fair amount of time and a number of people from various departments, this problem for the customer can easily be managed by CRM. The call center agent would record the problem reported by the customer into the CRM system. Another employee from another department would check any outstanding issues labelled for their department, and would be informed about that customer’s issue by using the CRM system. If the problem is resolved, the resolution is noted on the customer?s record and the customer would then be contacted by that employee. If however the problem is not resolved than the said employee can make a note and send it to another department that he or she thinks can solve the problem. This process continues until the customer’s concerns are resolved. This is just one example of what most CRM software packages can do.
Sales CRM
This component of Customer Management Software is probably the popular and sought after module. Some companies such as Salesforce over a scaled down version of their software. Offering only this single module, primarily to small and mid-sized businesses. Sales CRM allow the tracking of prospective and current clients. This is a powerful tool for a sales department of a company because leads are much easier to convert into new sales. A lead would have basic information about that person, perhaps how and why they filled a contact form generating this lead. This information can be used by a sales person to close a deal much more effectively by using the information gathered by the CRM system. A current customer can also be sold new product s because the software would know what kind of products the person has purchased in the past allowing the sales to recommend, up sell or cross-sell more products to their already existing clients.
Campaign Management CRM
This module is very important for a marketing department for a company because it allows for a not only the management of a campaign but also the creation of an advertising campaign. Internet Ads using Google Adwords could be created and controlled by CRM software such as Salesforce. Targeting Groups using Microsft Dynamics with email and address information imported by Microsoft Outlook is very popular. This allows a company to target people based on demographics or where they live (geo-based targeting). Special offers can be sent to these prospective clients through email, telephone or post.
As you can see there a number of modules offered by an array CRM solutions. I will attempt to review a number of the most popular CRM software of today.

Salesforce offers a number of different suites and has teamed up with Google AdWords to manage adwords ads in a CRM platform. This is popular because a sales team can see what keywords a prospect has entered into google to find their contact form. This suite also has excellent tracking abilities for campaign management.
